I absolutely LOVE this movie. And this pose reminded me of this song, so that is what I based this picture off of. I have no idea what I am naming this girl yet xD But she may appear in more of my drawings.

I absolutely LOVE this movie. And this pose reminded me of this song, so that is what I based this picture off of. I have no idea what I am naming this girl yet xD But she may appear in more of my drawings.

A tip for working from stock:
Sometimes it's really helpful to draw the pose upside-down. Sounds silly, but your drawing brain is your right brain and it works better when it can focus on the big shapes without letting your left brain worry 'if it look like a leg.' Turning the pose upside-down allows the right brain to see the shapes and relationships better
When working with a model for a reference, try to forget that it's a person. If you can train your eye to look at the shapes on the reference and reproduce them, you will likely end up with a more accurate drawing. Try to think of the body as just a collection of shapes and then try to make the same spaces and shapes on the page.
